On Saturday and Sunday November 10th and 11th, the Research Riders will ride to the Texas World Speedway to watch the last Central Motorcycle RoadRacing Association (CMRA) race of the season. The group will be staying at the College Station Knights Inn that is available for $60. Each rider is responsible for making their own reservation.

The 170 mile ride to the track will begin with kickstands up at 8:00 a.m. Saturday at The Pig Stand (1508 Broadway, near 281). Riders are encouraged to arrive at 7:00 for breakfast including the signature, extra large biscuits. We will then head up IH 35 to San Marcos for a rest stop before jumping on 21 up to Bastrop for our second rest and gas stop. The third hour of riding will land us in Caldwell for the last interim stop for refreshments before stopping for lunch at the historic Hullabaloo Diner (http://hullabaloodiner.com) in Wellborn, just 10 minutes from the race track.

The route home on Sunday morning will take us south through Brenham, La Grange, Flatonia and Seguin for rest and fuel stops. We will cover 190 miles and about 3.5 hours in the saddle plus time for the 4 rest stops. With an 8:00 a.m. departure from College Station, we should be back to our starting point around 1:00 p.m.
