Canyan Lake / River Road trip of 110 miles on  Sunday April 17, 2005.  Left with wife Terri and youngest son Joseph III.  Original intent of trip was to pick up "city" points for a ResearchRiders contest.  Idea was to pull off near city limit sign like "Spring Branch" or "Canyan Lake" but quickly found that the traffic was too heavy and not enough room on the shoulder of the road and it just turned into a sight seeing trip with no scored points.  Left SAT north on 281 to Spring Branch, right on 306 past Canyan Lake to Sattler where we picked up River Road.  Stayed just ahead of the rain the entire trip.  Wife took a few pictures from the back of the R1100RT.  No tubers, saw maybe 2 rafters, water probably too cold.  Wildflowers not quite blooming, maybe another 2-3 weeks.  Click any picture to enlarge.
