Trip about New Mexico for "Watts Up" by Joseph Stateson

About May 17th my wife Terri and I traveled about 1,400 miles back from Albuquerque on our BMW R1100RT motorcycle. A trip report on the internet is here  and you can find a set of photographs organized about the cities we rode thru here.  By the time we left San Antonio, May 23rd, I had installed a Garmin 2610 GPS system on the motorcycle and programmed it for a trip about New Mexico area back to San Antonio. After dropping off our old T100 pickup to a buyer in Albuquerque, we got on the motorcycle and rode through Santa Fe up into Taos.

We stopped periodically to take pictures and visit those Indian trading posts that seem to be everywhere.  Left is Bobcat pass with elevation 9800 feet. Below is another view and you can see the snow back at that elevation.

We took the "Enchanted Circle" ride about Taos and stopped at the NM Vietnam Veterans monument.  That monument contains a replica helicopter used in the Vietnam era and is a beautiful place to visit.
